degrex (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website degrex.cfd (the “Site”), a qualitative B2B marketing research guidebook. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit the Site from the United States or otherwise interact with us online.
1. Controller and contact
degrex is the controller of personal information processed through the Site. Contact us at [email protected], +1 (628) 555-0147, or by mail at 450 Mission Street, Suite 220, San Francisco, CA 94105, United States.
2. Information we collect
We may collect information you provide directly, such as an email address submitted through the newsletter form on certain article pages. We may also collect technical data automatically, including IP address, browser type, device information, referring URLs, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from IP. Cookie and similar technologies are described in our Cookie Policy.
We do not require you to create an account to read educational content. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information through the Site’s public pages.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to operate and secure the Site, respond to inquiries, deliver newsletter messages you request, analyze aggregated traffic patterns to improve content structure, and comply with applicable law. We do not sell personal information as that term is commonly understood under U.S. state privacy laws, and we do not use Site data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
4. Legal bases and legitimate interests
Where required, we process information based on your consent (for example, optional analytics cookies or newsletter signup), performance of a request you initiate, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in running a secure informational website and understanding which guidebook pages are useful—balanced against your privacy rights.
5. Sharing and processors
We may share information with service providers who host the Site, deliver email, or provide analytics under contractual confidentiality and purpose limits. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect degrex’s rights or users’ safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger, provided appropriate safeguards continue to apply.
6. Retention
Newsletter emails are retained until you unsubscribe or we close the list. Server logs are typically kept for a limited security window unless a longer period is needed for investigations. Cookie lifetimes are described in the Cookie Policy. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed for the purposes stated here.
7. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; please use unique passwords for your email account and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your data related to degrex.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of certain personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or profiling where applicable. To exercise rights, email [email protected] with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We will verify your request as required by law and will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
California residents may have additional disclosures under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined, based on our current Site configuration. You may still control cookies as described in the Cookie Policy.
9. Children
The Site is intended for business professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. International visitors
The Site is operated from the United States. If you access it from another country, your information may be processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect operational or legal changes. The “Last updated” date will change when we post revisions. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes notice of the revised policy where permitted by law.
